Feeder Cattle Auction July 24 , 2026 

Receipts: 721 Last Week: 301 Year Ago: 602 

Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, bulk of the receipts were pot loads and part loads of yearling steers and heifers weighing over 700 lbs and did not have a good comparison from two weeks ago but traded with a lower undertone. Steer and heifer calves sold in small packages and singles and were not well tested and also sold with a lower undertone. Demand was moderate to good on the yearlings as 109 hd of 982 lb heifers sold for 285.50; 58 hd of 872 lb steers sold at 340.00 and 55 hd of 789 lb steers sold for 358.00. The fed cattle market has been rocked on its heels for the month of July as fat cattle have lost 30.00 and are pressuring the feeder cattle market.  Slaughter cows traded steady to firm with a light offering of slaughter steers and heifers trading 2.00-4.00 lower after last week’s sharply lower market.

Medium and Large 1-2 few 400-450 lbs 480.00-502.50; 500-550 lbs few 460.00-462.50, pkg fleshy 530 lbs 433.00; pkg 566 lbs 415.00; 620-680 lbs 364.00-393.00; 700-755 lbs few 320.00-358.00; 824-836 lbs few 321.00-336.00.  

 Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1 pkg 415 lbs 487.50, pkg 480 lbs 460.00; pkg 515 lbs unweaned 401.00, 550-565 lbs 383.00-384.00; 765-770 lbs 323.00; 109 hd 982 lbs 285.50. Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 378 lbs 502.00; 470-475 lbs few 435.00-437.50; 550-600 lbs few 360.00-377.50; 600-650 lbs few 341.00-354.00, 650-700 lbs few 322.50-336.00; pkg 709 lbs 320.00.
